MechLog’s Skills Enhancement & Employee Development (SEED) is a customised training innovation. SEED was launched in January 2023 to meet the needs of the forestry sector. MechLog identified a need to offer specialised training to attract and retain employees within the industry.
Designed from the ground up to meet the needs of the forestry sector, SEED provides specialised training to attract and retain talented employees in the industry.
With a focus on younger participants, SEED combines technical training and life-skills education to create career development opportunities and pathways. Participants will gain a Certificate III in Forest Operations qualification and receive personal development opportunities through extracurricular programs.
SEED’s philosophy is shaped from MechLog’s successful track record of training forestry professionals since 1994. Many of these individuals have advanced to supervisory and management positions within MechLog and other forestry companies, reflecting the success of MechLog’s innovative training programs.
The SEED program prioritises life-skills that empower and support participants, including communication, self-discipline, self-esteem, self-awareness, self-improvement, resilience-building, creative-thinking, financial management, and stress and emotion management.
