MechLog launch new contemporary website – www.mechlog.com.au.

February 4, 2020

MechLog has launched its new contemporary website with a view to better informing visitors to the site about the company and the industry. MechLog’s CEO, Jillian Aylett Brown, said that the new website better reflects the company’s approach to best practices in the forestry industry; and that the new ‘look’ is in keeping with MechLog’s ‘Forestry with Care’, environmentally responsible approach.

“There are many reasons why any business, regardless of industry, needs an up-to-date and relevant website; but in the case of the forestry industry, it is even more important,” Ms Aylett Brown said.

“The forestry industry has undergone significant changes since MechLog started operating in 1994. Over the past 25 years, the industry’s sometimes chequered past has seen a transformation into one of the most sustainable, environmentally responsible, and important industries in Australia. MechLog’s new website recognises all of these achievements. We hope that visitors to the new MechLog website will secure a better understanding of the forestry industry in the 21st Century; and how MechLog is leading the way in our very different approach to forestry services.

“The technology and financial sectors were early adopters of websites, whereas the forestry sector took a little longer to realise that the world was searching for information about our industry. According to Internet Live Stats, on average, Google now processes over 40,000 search queries every second, which translates to over 3.5 billion searches per day, or 1.2 trillion searches per year.

“Before websites became so important, the forestry industry had to rely on news outlets to tell our story, and their opinions were quite often tarnished with the loudest voices from the environmental lobby. These days, the industry can proudly tell its own story – one of caring for the environment, creating opportunity and wealth through sustainable forestry practices, and offering training and career paths to people throughout Australia.

“Not many people would make the link between the advent of the internet and a better understanding of the forestry industry, but it has definitely served as an important tool to educate critics and spread the word that the Australian forestry industry is one of the most successful and responsible industries in the world.

“Everyone from customers to school children visit websites for information. Six out of ten internet users expect businesses to provide online content about their company, so they can learn about it as an entity, and satisfy themselves that the company or industry is ethical and responsible – two standards that are part of MechLog’s culture.

“It is also a matter of trust. Transparency gives everyone more confidence in the forestry industry. If we at MechLog don’t take our responsibility to the industry and the environment seriously – and if we do not present our company to the community on our own website – if we don’t proudly tell our story, we simply invigorate entrenched, outdated opinions and raises questions about the industry.

“The MechLog website tells our story in words and pictures that present a very different version of a modern, socially responsible, and sustainable industry that is a respected and valued part of rural communities across Australia. Visitors can view MechLog’s commitment to using the best low-impact machinery, the latest computer and satellite technology, see our outstanding record on workplace safety, and glean a little information about the overall industry, our partners, and what we do to contribute to the economy and community,” Ms Aylett Brown said.

The Managing Director of AT+M Marketing, David Peck, whose company built and launched the new MechLog website said that a well-maintained, fast, and functioning website is at the heart of any digital marketing strategy.

“A well-designed, content-rich, functional website is the digital ‘home’ of any business. It is the one platform where a company or an industry is completely in control of the image and message they want the world to read and hear. When a well-designed website, with clear, honest, and transparent messaging is combined with an integrated approach to social media, nothing will stop its power of direct communication with anyone who is interested in the company or the industry,” David said.

“Every day, an increasing number of information consumers turn to Google Search to research companies like MechLog, to check facts, and to better understand how the forestry industry works. The MechLog website gives visitor a good user experience, based on relevant content and information that is easy to find and understand. The trust value increases dramatically when visitors are well informed and leave the MechLog site having found answers to their questions.

“AT+M Marketing worked with MechLog to truly understand their industry and their business. The result is a website that looks at the forestry industry with new eyes and presents it so everyone can see that the industry has modernised dramatically over the years; and that the MechLog’s mantra of ‘forestry with care’ is one that they live and breathe every day,” David said.

The new MechLog website is online now at: www.mechlog.com.au
